24-Hour Service at Metro on Weekends? – NOT TRUE!

I have been fooled by metroRiderLA. The article on April 1st was a spoof and I fell for it. Sorry for any confusion and any false excitement.

Maybe we can all lobby the Metro to really make this dream come true. Write to Customer Service at CustomerRelations@metro.net and tell them that having a late night service would be a huge asset in Hollywood.

This is super great news that I’ve been waiting to hear since forever. Metro will start it’s L8Nite service on May 5th for all Red Line destinations. Metro will run all night long starting Thursday nights through Sunday morning.

All you got to do is pay $8 for a Metro L8Nite Pass and youy can hop on the Red Line every half hour all weekend long.

This is a super way to get the drunk drivers off the road (at least those who live near Red Line stations) and get cars off the street.

There is gridlock all over Hollywood just from cars trying to find parking and the freeways are clogged up from people coming to Hollywood from all over the city.

Downtown will just be a short 12 minute ride away at nights when we like to attend the Galleries or friends’ parties and we won’t need to worry about missing the last train. That is awesome!

And finally I don’t have to worry about missing the train when I head back south from my performances in North Hollywood or when we attend some great Theater events in the NoHo Arts District.

Of course there are some unanswered questions, like what if I have a monthly pass or a day pass? Will I be able to ride back home from my job without having to pay an extra $8. So stay tuned, we’ll find out and write about it here.

Hey Enci… I don’t know if you made this post seriously, if not forgive my thickness… but Metro L8Nite was an April Fools joke I made to trick MetroRiderLA readers last month! So unless Metro took my prank and turned it into reality… then you’ve kinda been April Fooled a month late!

You are kidding me! This is a real bummer! I really thought this was true and I told everybody I came across that the Metro will start running overnight in May.

Well this sucks, and I feel really foolish posting it. Thanks for clarifying.

    I’m totally depressed now!
