Attending meetings at City Hall, the Bicycle Advisory Committee, the Transportation Committee and at the Metro can be quite boring but somehow the cycling community has managed to make these meetings relevant and fun and afterwards they always treat themselves with an adventure.
The first meeting of the Bicycle Master Plan meeting will be held tomorrow, February 16th at USC form 10 am to 12 noon. Cyclists will meet at the Santa Monica/Vermont Red Line Station and ride down as a group to speak about their plan and their vision of a bikeable LA.
There is already a plan to saddle up afterwards at 12:30 pm to do the iaal*maf Watts Happening II ride. Meet the group outside the Swim Stadium at 12:30 pm and join them for a fun Saturday afternoon ride.
The second meeting of the Bicycle Master Plan will be held this coming Wednesday, February 20th, and yes there is an adventure planned there as well. Read about the ride to the meeting and check out the discussion here.
After the meeting cyclists will ride to the BikeRoWave in Santa Monica and watch a movie. Now that is a cool treat! Can’t wait!
