First of all we finished CERT training level 2, League of American Bicyclists Road Ed I training, and also the CORBA mountain biking skills class where we learned to ride down stairs :-))). It was scarry.
We did the Aeolian Ride, helped in the renovation of a mural in Hollywood, volunteered at the Red Cross and for the Radiothon for Katrina fundraising, and of course went to a bunch of fun bike rides with the Midnight Ridazz, LA Wheelmen, Channel Islands Bicycle Club, Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, and a Hollywood ride with Chris and Eric from Hollywood Pro Bicycles.
This month a whole lot of exciting things are happening and I don’t even know where to start and where to go. L.A. is really full of fun events. We bump into people on the Metro from previous parties and events, we meet people on our bikes all the time, make new friends and meet old ones that are walking. We never used to bump into friends when we used to drive. We were much too isolated, and adventures rarely came our way, because the destinations were always goal oriented.
