EdgeFest produces the Edge of the World Theater Festival, an annual showcase for the work of Los Angeles-based theater artists and the Los Angeles History Project and the Los Angeles Future Project, which commission new works about Los Angeles history and for young audiences, respectively.

This 12 hour festival will present works in all stages of development from 7 minutes to an hour, presented on 3 stages, with some of LA’s hottest DJ’s spinning music including Rani De Leon; Camille Brown; and DJs from LA’s notorious Dublab.

The evening will be presented at one of downtown LA’s grittiest—yet glamorous—venues, the Regent Theatre which used to be an adult movie theatre.

Since 1999, The Edge of the World Theater Festival has been a grassroots celebration of Los Angeles theater artists. Its mission is “to contribute to the evolution of theater in Los Angeles, to broaden and strengthen the audience for our work, and to inspire Los Angeles theater artists to create innovative and exciting pieces that are unique to the theatrical experience and push the boundaries of what is possible.
