Today is the opening night of he 4th annual HollyShorts Film Festival at the Egyptian Theatre. There will be an opening night celebration, short films, a Q&A with the filmmakers (one of them is Stephan Szpak-Fleet, who directed me in “My Silent Sadness”,) a red carpet and an exclusive after-party. Tickets are only $10 and you can ride the Red Line or your bike into town.
You can also go to the Santa Monica organic vegetable gardening, which is FREE. It’s from 7pm – 8pm at the MLK Jr. Auditorium, Santa Monica Main Public Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. Christy Wilhelmi of Gardenerd.com will help you get into the garden this fall with tips and tidbits about organic vegetable gardening.
Both events are accessible via public transportation and via bike. We’ll be at the HollyShorts at the Egyptian Theatre, so I hope to see you there!
