Ridazz and Theatre

July 21st, 2006 · No Comments

So many cool things and such great people!  Last Fridays Midnight Ridazz had around 1,300 people on bicycles!  Can you believe it!  It was amazing!  Yes, people got pissed off.  Why?  Because they were stuck in traffic, and couldn’t move, until the line of 1,300 cyclists passed.  And other people cheered.  For some onlookers, this is the most fun thing they’ve seen.  Kids come running out on the street in their pyjamas, screaming “Wow!  This is Awesome!” as they see a crowd of cyclists pass by their house.  Adults wave, and scream: “Bicycles are Sexy!” and others scream: “Get the fuck of the street and ride on the sidewalk!”  Wow, they must be from Texas!

Our BAD 1.1 (Bicycle ADventure) event was a great success.  We had 10 people join us for Pizza, and then we went to the Sacred Fools.  We locked up our bikes in front of the Theatre, and all cyclists received 1/2 price tickets.  We met some really nice people, who either heard about BAD 1.1 at the Midnight Ridazz website, BikeBoom, or at the Bicycle Kitchen.  After the show, some cyclists joined us at the Sunset Junction for gelato and we hang out until they rolled up the sidewalks.

A Big THANKS also to SACRED FOOLS!  The show was awesome, the actors were excellent, and so was the entire theatre crew.  And to top it all, the Theatre has a recycling program as well!  Very cool.  Hope you’ll join us on BAD 1.2 :-)  And if you haven’t seen “La Bete” yet, you shouldn’t miss it!
