The Los Angeles Bicycle Advisory Committee meets every other month to address cycling issues in the City of Los Angeles. They speak on behalf of the cycling community and advise the Los Angeles City Council, the Department of Transportation, the Planning Departments and the Department of Recreation and Park(ing).
About two dozen cyclists showed up at the February meeting. We listened to what the board has been working on, we voiced our opinions on several Agenda Items and a lot of us spoke up at the Public Comment. All of our concerns were close to our hearts and the issues included Education (not in schools but to motorists,) Enforcement, Encouragement, Engineering, and Evaluation.
