One night when I came home, the grooves and potholes were full of water. I walked up the hill past my house to find out where it was coming from.

It turns out a homeowner waters his landscaping so much, it overflows into the street. This not only wastes water, but tears up the pavement.

The DOT has been out to patch potholes, but the erosion problem has never been solved, so the patches just wash away.
